Technology for learning?

Did you know: that on any given day, 64% of babies between 1 and 2 watch TV and videos for an average of slightly over 2 hours; that in 2011 there were 3 million downloads just of Fisher Price apps for infants and toddlers; that estimates of how much time preschoolers spend on average with screen media range from at least 2.2 hours to as much as 4.6 hours per day?

Is letting your child use so much technology is a good idea? How can you be sure that the content of the internet is actually appropriate for your child’s education? 

There are other great ways of helping your child develop faster. As technology can be an interesting, modern way of learning, we need to keep in mind that hands on, creative and active play is still the biggest part of child’s educational process.
